Red eyes is a common eye condition that can be the result of fatigue, allergies, or over-wearing contact lenses, however, it can also be the indication of a more serious eye condition or disease, such as glaucoma. Causes

The causes of red eyes can vary from allergies, dry eyes, smoking, cold and flu, swimming, and fatigue to more serious conditions like pink eye or an eye injury. It occurs often due to swollen or dilated blood vessels. Another cause could be related to your contact lenses and whether you’re not wearing them properly or are over-wearing them.
